Lawn & Garden - Know when it is time to hire an arborist
It's fairly common at this time of year for gardeners to look out a window, see all these dormant deciduous trees and leafless shrubs, and decide (particularly if it is a bright, sunny day) to get out the pruners and loppers and do a little pruning.
All well and good, unless you are out of your depth and don't have a clue what you're doing. Then you can do more harm than good; damaging plants and, worst case scenario, getting injured yourself.
Serious jobs, such as tree removal and canopy reductions and the like, are best left to experts.
